Patrick Geren
Patrick Geren is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Composition from the University of Memphis with Dr. Kevin Sanders and Dr. Jack Cooper. He earned his Master’s in Performance from the University of Georgia with David Zerkel and his Bachelor’s in Education and Performance from Illinois State University with Dr. Andy Rummel and Dr. Mark Babbitt. His transcriptions and compositions have been published by Potenza Music and performed at regional and national conferences. As a member of the University of Georgia Tuba Quartet, he earned honors as first runner-up in the chamber ensemble competitions at the 2014 Music Teachers National Association and the International Tuba Euphonium Conference held at Indiana University. He also works as a brass instructor for the Bluecoats (North Canton, OH).

Takahiro Iwamitsu
Takahiro studied music at the Kunitachi College of Music under the legendary Tooru Miura and UNT graduate, Dr. Mitsuru Saito. Takahiro is currently pursuing his Master's degree in music performance at the University of North Texas, studying under Dr. Brian Bowman. Takahiro is an active composer and arranger for the North Texas Euphonium Quartet, among other organizations. |
Steve Darling
Steve Darling (b. 1989) is a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. At 24, Darling has received accolades as a composer and musician. At the 2014 International Tuba Euphonium Association Conference in Bloomington, Indiana, Steve received 2nd place in the Euphonium Artist Competition. Steve has received a number of commissions for a variety of chamber ensembles and many of his works have been performed at recitals around the country. Mr. Darling is an advocate of new music and has commissioned numerous works for euphonium with piano and a variety of chamber ensembles. |
